The idiot thought that he had landed in the East Indies and never, for his entire life, could be convinced otherwise. It took Amerigo Vespucci to figure out, later on, that this was in fact a completely different continent. Ah, Columbus. What a loser!
But he gives us an extra day off, so Yay him!
